Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind

Two friends of mine have parents that left their partners and came out as gay & lesbian. Both friends were old enough ( teens) to understand.
Does your brother know that it doesn’t matter to you?

Re: PWG

The fancy entrance set up suggests that the “we oversold tickets so need to move to a bigger venue” statement may not be the whole truth.

Re: Revolution Pro

Rev Pro were the first company to put on matches between top US Indy guys not in RoH and New Japan. You had matches like Hero-Shibata, Hero-Ishii, Keith Lee-Ishii. While 2017 wasn’t a great year for them they put on some great matches, although their big York Hall shows rely a lot on import talent s...

Re: What Was the Last Match You Watched

Zack Sabre Jr vs Kota Ibushi (New Japan Cup) I much preferred this to their G1 clash. Sabre didn’t use many strikes and was almost completely focussed on holds. Ibushi relies more on strikes, which were very effective. No one left the ring or even touched the ring apron. Zack used holds I’ve never s...

Re: The Netflix Thread

I finished Punisher and it was really good for what it was, just not exactly what I wanted. Not sure I want to jump right into JJ2 after hearing y'alls thoughts. I didn't love Season 1 (and that was with a fantastic villain). If you didn’t love season 1 skipping season 2 May be for the best: it dig...

Re: The Netflix Thread

Currently I’m watching Jessica Jones. I’m less invested in season 2 than I was in the first season. Possibly because I don’t enjoy self destruction stories and that’s what a big part of this season feels like.
Plus, David Tennant was so compelling as Killgrave and the show misses his presence.

Re: New Japan Pro Wrestling Thread

I’m slowly catching up on New Japan. The anniversary show was a fun mix of unique matches. YOSHI-HASHI v SANADA was good, Taichi looked so much better vs Naito, Makabe vs Suzuki was decent and Ospreay vs Okada was very good although it felt like it went a little too countertenor and lost the crowd a...

I just got a big recommendation for Altered Carbon so I'll probably check that out when I finish Punisher ( and the Tick on Amazon).
Tick is very good, entertaining and Serafinovic is good in the role. I still prefer the animated show though.

Re: Last movie or TV show you watched

B IIII: The Beginning on Netflix. It’s a Production IG Anime, so it looks gorgeous and has a fair bit of blood. It’s a European set fantasy-police thriller. It’s a decent watch and quite short (about 3 1/2 hours long) so worth a watch. It does irritate me that they wanted a European setting but kept...

Lee & Walter have denied it. Of course, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.

Re: New Japan Pro Wrestling Thread

New Japan have a very good track record of polishing western talent in the last few years. Very few haven’t improved, and those guys usually don’t last long.

Re: New Japan Pro Wrestling Thread

New Japan are keeping behind White. More interestingly, I think CHAOS will have a shake up this year and he will me the instigator. It’s not the biggest match but it’s a big opportunity for both guys.

Jonah Rock & Adam Brooks are Australian. Wenzhou & Xavier vs Bandito & Flamita is a repeat of a match they had in Dragon Gate.

Decided to return to the Bin. Wrote a comics review that got a lovely comment from the artist. Baked a cake. Accidentally subscribed to Amazon Prime.

Re: Last movie or TV show you watched

Recently watched seasons 1-3 of Bosch. Really enjoyed it, does a good job capturing the character. Titus Welliver is perfect.
