I think they need to put all of them in a giant pit with chains on their feet and slowly fill the pit with water then let them fight for the key. Winners are the ones who get out and gets to run the country.

Would make more sense than our current electoral system.

My understanding is that's it's a process that takes more than a few weeks so if this is just a temporary reopening (Puns's favorite uncle promised to make the government close again in 2 weeks if he doesn't get the money for his fucking wall) then it's not enough time.

That I don’t disagree with but he’s not there yet and in theory you should already be big time to be IWGP champion.

As I told Joe when we were talking about this the other day, I think the problem is that it was supposed to be White/Omega. That's what the build has been to for over a year since White turned down and attacked him at New Year Dash. While Tanahashi was a fine replacement to keep the match quality up there, and a nice callback to White's return to njpw, it didn't have the story behind it.

As far as White being ready, I think he's fine in the ring but I agree it's too soon to be the main man. I'll gladly eat those words if he has a tremendous run with outstanding matches but unless it's Okada or Tanahashi, I don't see it and he's just owned those two since the road to wrestlekingdom shows and then beating both so rematches right away aren't interesting. Ibushi winning the NJCup for the first title defense at G1 Supercard seems to be how they're going so it should be a good match but I'm taking a wait and see approach.
