Re: WWE Discussion/News
Im fairly certain that she wanted to make a statement before the news broke of her release. I still think the company is going to do all it can to squash any thought of unionization though. I do wonder if it's too late for them after the Twitch fiasco.-mp- wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 6:57 pmLol Zelina Vega had herself quite the afternoon.
For the record, I don't think they fired her because she supports unionization (which, no wrestling organizations do, so good luck with that. Talk to Andy Yang I guess). I think they fired her because she's furious about losing her Twitch stream and has been begging for it ever since.
Re: WWE Discussion/News
Hope that her release doesn't affect Aliester Black. She seemed humble to the fans in her twitter post. I understand that the wrestlers are losing alot from thier twitch streams, and it's sad that WWE has done this to them. I hope we get to see her in AEW, because she is a good wrestler. Things like this is why I think Vince should just retire. Lets get it straight, nothing gets done without the boss man's approval, so his decision makings have been terrible as of late.
Re: WWE Discussion/News
Vega refused to shut down her Twitch account is apparently the reason why WWE let her go. I don't blame her, she's going to have income for the next 90 days before she decides where to go next.
Re: WWE Discussion/News
This whole thing makes wwe and Vince McMahon look very bad and exposes the horse shit designation of their wrestlers as “independent contractors” and I don’t think this will end good for them at all. Andrew Yang is gonna put a legal smackdown on them and force them to change the designation of the wrestlers to employees like it should have been for decades anyways and it’ll force them to give healthcare and benefits to everyone and it’s gonna fuck Vince without lube, going in dry right in his pocketbook. It’s gonna be great for the wrestlers because they’ve deserved it for destroying their bodies like they do for our enjoyment.
It’ll hopefully help them not turn to pills and booze so much because they can just go to the doctor and get their torn rotator cuff diagnosed and get surgery instead of being scared to “lose their spot” or gut it out and work hurt like they used to do in the old days. Then wrestlers have to mask the pain and take pain pills and before long because they worked hurt and working hurt leads to injury. Then they work through the injury and they’re dependent on the fucking things because major injuries require the damn things (unless you’re a superhuman like Mick Foley) and then you have a problem. If they were just treated like they’re actually going out and fucking up their bodies night in and night out and it wasn’t glorified as making them “tough guys” or whatever because back in the territory days and before guaranteed contracts you didn’t get paid if you didn’t work and so you got shit like Paul Orndorff not addressing his neck and having his fucking arm atrophy, Steve Austin not immediately getting his neck fixed and instead working for two more years before getting it fixed while doing who knows how much further damage to his neck and how much time he lost from not getting it done. I completely understand they were in an awful position for that to happen in summer ‘97 but fuck. Shawn Michaels went away for a while and got his back fixed and somehow came back just as good as he was before.
Imagine is Steve had gotten surgery right after the piledriver and was able to heal up and come back for another 8 years like Shawn? He was so young still when it happened. I think he was in his early 30s when it happened.
If the performers giving their bodies and their health and their youth entertaining us were treated like they’re not expendable by the multi billion dollar company they work for and like their health and well being is equally as important as taking away their extra monetary endeavors outside of their company seems to be then wrestling as a whole would be in a lot better shape because the boys would be in better shape.
Sorry for the rant.

The 2020 match of the year for WWE is AJ Styles vs. Taker from Mania meanwhile NXT had O'Reilly vs. Balor.

When did Goldberg become WWE's 'in case of emergency, break glass' ratings bump go to?
I personally hope Drew utterly decimates him and he goes back into hiding for good this time. I have zero desire to see Goldberg in 2021.

I can't believe so many people believe that the Keith Lee turnbuckle spot last night legit happened and wasn't planned.

Re: WWE Discussion/News
