We're moving into the second generation of wrestlers that grew up watching more "modern" wrestling. Folks definitely aren't being taught the same way that wrestlers were back in the day, for good and bad. I'll glad there's more of a chance for more people to do it, I welcome more and different styles and types of people doing it. But I don't want to see someone doing something that is more dangerous than usual just to entertain me. I definitely don't want to see someone permanently injured, or maimed or even killed in front of me. If that's the alternative, I'll take an arm drag into an arm lock with the heel telling me to sit down and shut up, thank you very much.

That’s another issue too is that there’s so much more out there and easier to find and watch that seeing multiple tables spots or blood getting drawn in some way has made seeing something compelling harder because there’s more of it out there that you see it week after week.

It comes down to passion for all of us. We all care about wrestling in our own way and that is what brought this small group together. I personally found my love for wrestling again for the first time since 2008 with AEW emerging. So yeah sure I get defensive for it but I'm not blind to its faults. I just really do love AEW, it makes me happy and feel like I did during WWE 98-01 and ROH 05-08.

No one needs to blindly love it at all. I've been there with feeling disdain/frustration/disappointment with WWE and it isn't healthy. We all just want it to be what we want it to be for us. The business can be cruel. A friend of mine wrestled and in 2007 he got paralyzed off a german suplex from some ticket seller who was untrained and an untrained referee who rolled him out of the ring without checking on him. He lost both his legs in the years to follow.

I truly feel for ya and I meant it when I said I hope you can find your joy of wrestling again. I know my friend doesn't watch anymore. It is too hard for him. Just don't try to force the square peg into the circle hole if you get what I mean. I got back into watching RAW/SD weekly back in August but I watch it on a delay now and strictly watch the talent I want to see. I fully ignore anything with someone I don't want to see and it does wonders for me at least. I never meant to imply you didn't love wrestling. It just seems obvious to me you weren't enjoying watching the AEW product in particular.

We all care. As you said, we're all nerds.

And this one goes out to everyone as a friendly reminder that the overall viewership doesn't matter at all and all that matters to the network is the 18-49 demo and where they rank in the night. So even if they were doing 500k people, if the demo was .35 and #1 on the night, WBD loves it cause that brings in the advertising revenue for investors. It is the whole reason shows get cancelled and renewed across the board.

You just had the whole MJF work shoot whatever that was constantly talked about come to an end. Omega just returned but was obviously still banged up in all three matches as well as the Bucks making no secret they were hurt and I've heard there was a new injury in the semis that needed healing and while the Page/Dark Order story was great, they weren't the team for the first champs. Then Punk gets hurt in the title match and he's going to be out for months.

Fall Out scrum takes place and all concerned get time off and you have everyone talking all over again. Moxley "cancels" time off to be the savior again, which he still hasn't taken that time off even after losing the title, Death Triangle puts on great match after great match to raise the titles rep.

Not to mention how great it's worked out that hey we have Punk who you guys at Discovery want so bad but uhh yeah he can't be on the same show as the other guys cuz everyone has feelings so we're gonna need a show on a different day and since we record Rampage most days it'll have to be a new one so give me money.

Punk walked away from WWE and Vince who has people destroyed just because he felt like it, do you really think he's so afraid of TK's lawyers that he agrees to come back to a company he trashed along with numerous people working there who hate him?

So you think TK worked WBD to get a new show using a fight that never happened? From a business relationship point of view, I have a hard time believing that. I don't think he is afraid. I think all has been good and smoothed over for a bit between all sides and the media is going nuts. But it all had to start from something. I can't imagine them all sitting in the room and planning out that whole story and rolling with it from day 1.
