Yeah I work around 50-55 hours a week. Too many of us are working too many hours! We shouldn’t have to work so much. We give 1/3 of our life to sleep, 1/3+ to work and have under 1/3 left for ourselves. Many of us have children so that time is cut considerably, halved if not more. So we get under 1/6 of our own life’s time to pursue anything we are intrigued by. Seems like horse shit if you ask me.

So I just found out I’m a complete coward. I’m shopping at my local Martin’s and looking at bbq sauces. All of the sudden a bunch of people start screaming bloody murder at the front of the store and I see associates and shoppers running this way and that and the people are still screaming like crazy. I was so scared something fucked up was happening that I couldn’t move. In America you can’t go to the god damn grocery store without thinking “maybe this is where I get shot and killed, in the fucking condiments section choosing between sweet brown sugar and teriyaki.” We’ve (and by we’ve I don’t mean us on the loony bin, but US as Americans) collectively gotta do something about the god damn gun violence so that people don’t immediately assume the absolute worst whenever something like this happens. Gun violence is every day, so it’s an every day fear for some. And I’m a coward who just freezes under pressure.

Turns out a 12 year old girl had a seizure because she had an allergic reaction to something and she fell out into a grand mal seizure and hit her head on the floor. An ambulance is taking her away right now thankfully. I hope she’s okay. The associate checking me out said the fall was really bad.
