It’s both a nationality and a religion. The Hebrews were commanded by Yahweh in the Torah/Septuagint/Old Testament not to marry or have children with non-Hebrew people. They may not have started out as a race of people but because of so many centuries of Hebrew-only marriages they eventually separated from the other folks around them and became a distinct race.

Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind
I kinda lost my cool yesterday and haven't been able to stop letting it bother me since. Sherry asked me to run and grab a few things at the grocery store before we started making dinner last night. Being a holiday I was already dreading going there, but when I made it to the store there was 7-8 cars parked in the fire lane blocking both entrances. I had to squeeze between 2 vehicles just to get in the door and at that point I'm furious so I just say out loud "this is ducking ridiculous". That prompts a guy in the passenger seat of one of the vehicles to get out of his car and start shouting at me "You got something to say to me?" In a foul mood I replied that they shouldn't be blocking the store and if there was a fire or any other emergency that they're putting everyone inside at risk. They started following me inside and yelling that I needed to mind my f'n business and that I need to keep walking and shut my mouth. Generally I just roll my eyes when I see stuff like that but I had no patience for it yesterday.

I have an officer that sits in my parking just for that reason. He gets so many tickets a day
I don't care what anyone says, the greatest thing to come out of this holiday was all the Cody Rhodes "Whoa" pyro videos people made.

Dude, you live in one of the roughest cities in the U.S. (it was like 20 years ago, now the rest of the country has gone downhill so much there's probably worse places). You have to keep your cool. I don't want you getting shot.Azmodeous wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 1:18 pm I kinda lost my cool yesterday and haven't been able to stop letting it bother me since. Maaaan, going to Walmart in general is enough to put me in a bad mood, let alone seeing the slack jawed, mouth breathing, toothless, dreck that work at the place and I haven’t even mentioned the customers in Waynesboro and Staunton, Va. Omg. White trash as far as the eye can see. Society is fucked lol. I wanna move way, way up into the mountains far, far away from people. I can make do with very little. I don’t need much. Gimme a working terlit, electricity, the internet, a tv, some food and water and I’m good. I’ll plant a garden and have chickens and cows for eggs and milk. I’ll grow all my favorite veggies. I’ll be set.

Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind
Hey everyone! I’m going to be live streaming on twitch the first episode of a new wrestling channel with 2 of my friends tomorrow night at 7:30pm EST.
For our first episode, we’ll be breaking down a 64 man tournament for who we consider the Greatest Wrestler of All Time.
Would really love any support by watching/listening/taking part in chat throughout. Even if you just want to lurk, the view count would be a great ego boost for us all lol. I’ll post the link tomorrow but I wanted to get this up now for the weekend crowd.

Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind
Hope you didn't

Honestly, I am annoyed I didn't include him. But he was never high on my personal list and even if I did, the other 2 would've never advanced him outta the first round. Their knowledge that outside of what they watch isn't as broad as mine. As you may have seen with most Japanese or older wrestlers.
It was a fun time but I hope anyone who tuned in and enjoyed. Any honest compliments or suggestions are welcome. How did it sound and look? Was it a good dynamic and vibe for you as a viewer? Was our first go so open to any thing.
Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind
What I heard was good. I'm off tomorrow so plan on finishing it.

According to my sources the guy Alanis Morisette was talking about going down on in a theater in her song You Oughta Know was Dave Coulier from Full House. Also, Sheryl Crow’s song My Favorite Mistake is about Eric Clapton.
Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind
Seriously didn't know that about Clapton, but fuck his old racist ass though.
Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind
The bad thing is that there was a long history of these kinds of comments throughout the decades, it's just a lot harder to sweep them under the rug these days.

Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind
It sucks to find out about people who hold in really high regard.
Eric Clapton has shown throughout the decades that he’s a piece of shit. Around 1968-69 he dated Patti Harrison’s sister so that he could hopefully make her jealous because he was secretly in love with her at the time. Patti was then married to Eric’s best friend George Harrison from the Beatles.
In 1970 Clapton released Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs under the monicker Derek and the Dominos. It was a love letter to Patti Harrison. It’s the greatest achievement of his career, this album was written while he was at what was ultimately his creative and playing peak. The song Layla is based on a Persian love poem of unrequited love that Clapton had read about a woman named Layla.
Eric would then confess his love to Patti and tell her to leave George and be with him. She said no. He said if she didn’t he would completely stop playing music and only shoot heroin as he was teetering on the edge of full blown addiction at the time. She said he couldn’t put that shit on her, but no still, she loved George despite whatever problems they had been having. Eric then stopped playing music and descended into full blown heroin addiction for the next four years.
He would go on to marry Patti Harrison in 1979 following her divorce from George in 77. He wrote the song Wonderful Tonight about Patti too. He would then go on to immediately cheat on her following their nuptials. They would later divorce after years of cheating and relapse after relapse after relapse. Phil Collins helped Clapton write and produce really terrible 80s pop music and got him hooked on cocaine. Why a heroin addict thought he could just do a little bit of blow and have it not become a big deal I’ll never know. It became a big fucking gigantic deal and he went off the rails on the rails. He then traded coke for liquor, liquor for wine, wine for beer. Once he got clean he bought hundreds of watches and boats because he’s insanely rich and didn’t know what to do with all his money since he couldn’t spend it all on drugs anymore. Dude just traded one addiction for another his entire life. Guitar, blues, heroin, sex, booze, coke, dude is an asshole.
Then his kid fell out of a window and died. Don’t know the circumstances there. “Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven” are words that hurt me deeply having had a son who died.

Re: Random thoughts from deep in the mind
Slowly but surely I've been chipping away at making the house less cluttered and easier to clean and stay clean. We started working on a room at a time back on vacation about a month ago and finally got to our spare bedroom when we got a small storage shed recently. The room has been a dumping ground for stuff we don't use and it has become a maze to get through so the shed cleared up about 85 percent of the floor at least (I still think we need to go through the shed and get rid of a few things). I was able to set up a treadmill in there and it still doesn't feel in the way or cluttered, that's how far the room has come. We still have a way to go in my opinion, we've ordered some stuff to completely overhaul Jacen's room next week and we need to go through the desk and kitchen table and clean them off and we still need to go through and pair down a lot of stuff (I love Star Wars but I don't need 30 baby Yoda toys cluttering up the top of a bookcase) and I have a few projects down the pipe to make things even more functional but I've noticed my stress level has gone way down the cleaner the house gets.

De-stressing is great, Azzy! Keep it up dude! I know it sounds like a lot of hard work, but when you work hard for something that gives you peace of mind it’s seriously a worthwhile thing in my estimation.
