I was already low on this card coming out of Weds. but them firing Punk was the easy push for me to not order All Out. First PPV I am not giving any $ in support of this company and I don't feel bad one bit. It is the best way the fanbase can speak back, with their wallets.

The good will and faith in AEW and TK is gone for me. It has been like a year and a half in the making (since Cody left) but I've hit my wall in things I can take and let go of. This divide that brewed between Punk and friends and fans vs. The Elite and friends and fans made AEW hard to watch this past year. I used to like Matt Hardy and Jack Perry. I was perfectly fine with the Bucks & Page in their roles. But all that side does is instiagate and push and push and they did n't like that Punk pushed back. Cody just said fuck it and peaced out when they did the same shit to him.

TK failed that locker room this past year. He let the everyone put holes in the ship and never cared to look under deck. Now he has to deal with this fallout.

I've never said Punk is not an asshole. But he didn't want any of this BS. And he wasn't going to take their BS. If you dont like him fine I really don't give a shit. Because at this point The Elite Mob won, good for them. They pushed out their top star and merchandise seller. ALOT of fans came to AEW because of Punk. They're gonna leave now. I know a few who are. This is going to cost them $.

I don't know if my answer is to delete social media or stop watching wrestling for awhile. I almost can't fathom how someone can be a wrestling fan this day and age without social media. Thye make it where you need to be so in the know and to understand/appreciate things, I've had a fear of missing out so to speak if I cut out twitter. But it is a fucking toxic cesspool with some god awful takes and all I do on there now is block the assholes I don't want to see but the algorithm is what it is and god forbid I can default to only seeing people I follow and THATS IT!

Ok I'll stop there for now, just had to get that off my chest. Mostly I am just angry as a fan, everyone listed above let us down in some way. But it seems only one side is suffering as a result, so I don't appreciate the literal victory laps happening in the aftermath.

Drop Twitter, take a month of Facebook. Trust me, you'll feel better.

To be honest with you man, it is hard for me. I'm chronically online and typically pretty lonely day to day working from home and living on my own. I recognize what it is and what it looks like. It is basically a drug I gotta kick out of my system and replace with something else, I just don't know what.

One of the most sobering moments for me was learning that most social media sites hired people involved with developing slot machines and keeping people hooked to help maximize people's time on them.

Do you do podcasts or audio books? That might be an option.

Social media is such a double edged sword. It’s amazing that I can connect with people I’ve never met in places I’ll likely never go to instantly with whatever thought I have at any particular moment on any variety of subjects. Being able to share ideas, information and knowledge that quickly has been revolutionary.

Also, it’s given every idiot with a bad take (like me, at times) a platform to voice their opinion on things they’re grievously uninformed about or have no knowledge about whatsoever for anyone to read as well as just vent their anger on. The Stanford Prison Experiment taught us that anonymity breeds contempt back in 1971. It exponentially grows when it’s worldwide. Plus, FOMO. If we aren’t up to date with the vast comings and goings of news tidbits we may miss something, or if our friends are all out having a great time without us, or if we can’t go to the big show everyone is at, it causes us to constantly refresh to see what new thing is going on.

I used to when I worked in the office. But being home now I have everything at my disposal lol.

I think I'm gong to try muting a ton of words first on twitter and see if that helps first.

That’s me! Social media has never been my thing and I’ve never viewed it as necessary to my enjoyment. I’ll check one site from time to time and maybe some click baity things on YouTube but that’s it.

Maybe one day I can get back there lol. For now I've muted the following terms on Twitter and it has admittedly done wonders: CM Punk, Young Bucks, Meltzer, BTE, WON.

I muted CM Punk and Punk on Twitter for a week just to let things die down, though a lot of my presence on that site has shifted to political discussions and the state of the world, which I know is not healthy mentally to focus on too much.

I haven’t seen much Roderick Strong for the last few years. I stopped watching NXT when the whole black and gold brand went away. It’s nice seeing him wrestle again. I nearly forgot how gifted he is in the ring. Dude has been a ridiculously great performer now for about 16-17 years. It’s also been nice seeing him FINALLY developing a bit more of a character. In my opinion, that’s been the only thing keeping him back. Yeah, size too, but this is the age where talent can transcend lack of size and it’s good seeing him add that missing piece to make him even more of a great talent.

Hell yeah! Love them leaning into this character with him. Curious how much longer they can get away with it, maybe 2 more months? I like it, you just don't want it going stale is all.

So rumors say WBD wants 12 PPVs a year on Max. Thoughts?

On Max, I'm okay with if it's similar to the Network. $50 a month for PPV shows is a no go for me though

Basically this ^

Content/booking wise, things will have to change, I just hope for the better. Like dont make Blood & Guts a yearly PPV. Keep it organic.

They’re already doing 7 this year anyway.

Yeah I can’t justify paying $50 a month for AEW ppvs. I’ll get MAX because of all the incredible shows and movies that come along with it. For me, The Sopranos, The Wire and Oz it’s worth the price alone.
