Today is the day! The official launch! I’m actually very excited. Can’t wait to pick the first thing I’ll be watching!

I went with Iron Man as my first pick! I’ve wanted to rewatch all the Marvel movies for awhile and now I can!

After taking nearly 2 hours to register it tells me my version of chromecast is not compatible with the app. I hate watching stuff on a phone (first world problems). I'm going to try the chromecast ultra and see if it works when I get home.

And that did the trick! Holy cow, The Mandalorian is great! I have a feeling this will be the kind of thing the vast majority of the fandom can agree on as something they enjoy.

I'll check it out when I get done with tonight's Chuck Norris movie.

I’m watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and I can’t stop thinking about how mind blowing it must have been to audiences in 1937. They must have thought the screen was coming to life to attack them! It still looks eye popping to me now.

I watched the pilot movie for Darkwing Duck this morning. It's still one of the most endearing love letters/spoofs of the superhero genre ever created.

The Star Wars movies in 4K look really freaking good and have me excited for a physical release with a better bitrate and less compression.

Mandalorian is the best Star Wars since Rogue One.
Watched a couple episodes of the Simpsons too. I dont like the crop job they did for FXX (that carries over here) though, there arent just character's heads cut off, whole sight gags are clipped. Guess I still got my DVDs , and can't really complain since I'm not paying for the first year.

Along with the MCU, I’m also trying to go through all of the Disney animated feature films. Then once I get to 1995 I’ll start weaving Pixar in there too. Started it with Snow White yesterday, which was fucking incredible. Pinocchio up next, then Fantasia.

One of the first things I did was search for that. Yeah I’m obviously going to be missing a number of them, some I’ll probably end up just skipping.

Of course the fucking thing was down for me all last night so I didn’t get to watch anything. Seems to be working on my phone now though. Fucking technology.

The Mandalorian episode 2 felt like Lone Wolf and Cub meets Sergio Leone in the galaxy far, far away. I'm digging this so much.

Also, Disney has announced that they are fixing the aspect ratio on the early episodes of The Simpsons early next year. To quote Homer, "WOOHOO!"

So I got Disney+ yesterday and watched the first 2 mandalorians, the first 2 jeff goldblum episodes, some Forky asks a questions and the short Float.

All thumbs up so far! 30 minutes into Lady & The Tramp on my commute and I'm enjoying it so far as well. After that, Noelle!

Watched The Ugly Dachshund last night and The Sign of Zorro this morning. Now I await them to put up the TV series of Zorro.

3 episodes in of The Mandolorian and I'm fairly certain that if that story the Hollywood Reporter ran earlier this week is true that a large majority of the fanbase will be happy with the future of Star Wars.

The Mandalorian episode 4 really leans in on the Akira Kurosawa influence (especially Seven Samurai) this week. Great, great stuff!
