Didn’t love the ending but it was kind of obvious from the second they announced the match how it would end. That said, the actual action was just great!

I can never in good faith vote yes to a great match with a no contest finish. Predictable as it was, as you mentioned, how a match ends is crucial for me when telling a story. Never like having the rug pulled out from underneath.

One of my top five favorite matches of all time has a non-finish. That's why it doesn't bother me, if it fits and is part of a bigger story.

Honestly, this may be my favorite NJPW match so far this year. The story they told was just incredible and both guys were quite perfect. Couldn't have gone any better.

And the post match angle was a shake-up New Japan has needed for a long time.

None got to that next level for me and while Becky/Charlotte got close, the referee killed it or me as there were some spots mis-timed by him and Charlotte counting wise and times where he just wasn't counting and should've been.
