I have him pegged for beating Nakamura for the IC championship almost right away. I'd love to be wrong.

Honestly I wouldn’t hate this. I could see them having a great match.GardenStateSaint wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 8:55 amI have him pegged for beating Nakamura for the IC championship almost right away. I'd love to be wrong.

Re: WWE Discussion/News
I wish we could go back to last Monday morning. Before any of this premiere week nonsense went down. After the endings to RAW/SD and HIAC, I think its the perfect time to stop watching RAW/SD again and just go back to PPVs only.
AEW/NXT/NXT UK/NJPW/ROH and perhaps even giving Impact on AXS a try again for awhile are way more than enough wrestling content wise in a week.

I caught the end of NWA Power and it's worth watching as it feels totally different from the rest.Iamspiderman wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 8:27 amAEW/NXT/NXT UK/NJPW/ROH and perhaps even giving Impact on AXS a try again for awhile are way more than enough wrestling content wise in a week.

That’s what’s great right now. There are a ton of wrestling related options.Iamspiderman wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 8:27 amI wish we could go back to last Monday morning. Re: WWE Discussion/News
So for Crown Jewel we're getting Tyson Fury vs. Braun Strowman and Lesnar vs. Cain. Both matches should be better than the Goldberg vs. Taker match from June.

I'm not sure how I feel about both matches being hot shotted. I'm sure it's incredibly tough to work something with Tyson Fury's schedule and/or training but I suppose whatever buzz is worth it.
Re: WWE Discussion/News
I don’t know who the fuck Tyson Fury is. Boxing is fake, I don’t care.

Eric Bischoff lost his job as director of Smackdown and was replaced by Bruce Prichard today.
Re: WWE Discussion/News
Surprised no one here is talking about the return of CM Punk.
Re: WWE Discussion/News
It's hard to get too excited about it when he isn't under contract with WWE (his contract is a broadcast deal with Fox) and doesn't look to be returning to the ring.
Re: WWE Discussion/News
I’d put decent money on him having a match at Mania. Sting, Warrior, Goldberg, etc all were brought in by a third party (i.e. the 2K company) and then wrestled within a year.
Re: WWE Discussion/News
Does wwe care at all about the fans and what they want? Looking to see what you guys think here.
Personally, I don’t think Vince McMahon gives a fuuuuck about what the fans want. Wrestling fans want wrestling. He has rebranded it as “entertainment” to get away from being a wrestling business. That alone shows how much he dislikes the fans.

He branded it sports entertainment to get away from paying fees/taxes, around commissions and such.Puns wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2019 5:47 pmDoes wwe care at all about the fans and what they want? Looking to see what you guys think here.

WWE stopped caring about what fans wanted when they won the war because there was nothing for them to choose instead.
The problem is that they actually do cater to fans, but the fans are kids. You go to anything with Roman Reigns and kids love him. Cena is the most requested make a wish. We all grew up on the product and fell in love with it when we were kids.
Adults are not the target market and in today's world, honestly they shouldn't be. You look at the Attitude Era that was more for adults and how much of that shit would work in today's PC omg I'm offended by everything world?
