Re: Random Movie/TV Comments
Wonder Woman 1984 is the closest thing I've seen in year's to a Richard Donner Superman film. It's bright, warm, hopeful, with well-placed comedy, a hero that exudes optimism, and is about 20 minutes too long and has an ending that doesn't make a lot of sense if you think about it too hard.
Still, I enjoyed it, and the mid-credits scene is just fantastic.

I usually refrain from 'takes' but I've enjoyed Invincible a bit more than The Falcon and Winter Soldier.

I've loved it so far, was pretty much hooked after THAT scene in the first episode.
Re: Random Movie/TV Comments
Ok, I'm completely sold on Heels after the first episode. Hell, the first ten minutes had me in. Great characters with the story painted nicely to bring you in and care.

Watched Zack Snyder's Justice League while home sick the past couple of days and well, it's longer than the theatrical cut, that's for sure!
Honestly, there are some good things about the movie, like Cyborg being a more fleshed-out character, but the longer run time seems to underline some of the problems the movie had long before Wheedon stepped in. There are also the usual Snyder tropes that I am not a fan of in general, characters being creepy, the beating over the head of the audience that superheroes are Jesus metaphors, the suffocating grimness of a group of characters that have decades of being bright and hopeful beacons, etc. It's an interesting watch but I can't say I liked it, not did I hate it.

I liked it a lot more than the Whedon cut.
Re: Random Movie/TV Comments
It's certainly more coherent than Josstice League, and I dug the Cyborg stuff but I think the overall story was way too bloated by the runtime and the slo-mo was overbearing after a while. I'm also not a fan of how Snyder views certain characters and I never will be. Still, it's an interesting counter to the theatrical cut, and im not upset about picking it up, just won't be going back to it anytime soon.

Cobra Kai has to be one of, if not the, best written series ever televised.

Really hoping to hear something about Shin Ultraman getting a limited release stateside in the next couple months. Feedback I’ve seen has it not being as great as Shin Godzilla but still a very strong movie with more generalized themes.

Still waiting, maybe something will get announced at NYCC
Re: Random Movie/TV Comments
I usually try to watch a movie through but Rob Zombie's The Munsters broke me.

I made it 8 minutes
Re: Random Movie/TV Comments
Halloween Ends is, uh, not very good. It's not Resurrection level bad, but it's not good either. Just my opinion here, btw, if you enjoyed it, that's great.
Re: Random Movie/TV Comments
See I'm the opposite end where I loved it. I thought it was the perfect ending for Laurie and Michael. I didn't go in with high expectations or concerned about the overall story blah blah, I went in just wanting to be entertained and a satisfying conclusion if it really is the end like they've been saying and I got that.
