Anyone been playing anything good lately?

I just got Far Cry5, but playing it just makes me want to go back and finish Assassin's Creed Origins. I'm off for a few days coming up so I started Yakazu Zero. been meaning to get to that for awhile.

AC Origins and Far Cry 5 are both awesome! The problem is that I'll have every intention of working on the stories but there's just so much to do that I'll just waste time running around.

I bounced off Far Cry pretty hard. I'll get back to it, just wasn't feeling it much after the first ten hours or so. I do have a pretty sweet cowboy hat and mullet though.

I'm one "boss" from being about halfway through the main story of ACO, and yeah, the side quests and other assorted things to do make it hard to get back to the main story. I'm taking my time though, I ending up wandering for a bit a couple of times and ran into some enemies I was really under leveled for and got smoked pretty past, so I'm trying to level up, ability up, and upgrade my breastplate, bracers, then quiver.

Shenmue doesn't hold up. absolutely ground breaking back in the day, it's a slough today. maybe the new controls and if the "remastered" graphics are all totally new 4K textures, then maybe it will be better, but man...that have to have a way to speed things up somehow.

From what is being said the remaster is going to max out at 1080p/30 fps. The way it sounds its going to look a lot like the Kingdom Hearts HD remaster (ie nothing as intensive as the Final Fantasy 7 remake obviously) but with an improved control system.

with both games? The collection will probably be at least $40. I wouldnt be shocked if it was $50 to $60 the first month or so.

Sega announced it's going to retail for $29.99 in the US.

The joys of not starting up your ps4 in over a month (the hdmi cable I was using was woefully underpowered for it, I got hdmi 2.0 cable and that fixed it), you basically spend the time you were planning to play downloading updates.

I got a Nintendo Switch for Father’s Day and got Mario Kart 8, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey.

Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart are both an absolute blast. My daughter loves Mario Kart so much. She sucks, but it’s fun to play with her anyways. It’s even more fun for me because they have retro tracks from the SNES and N64 versions on it that I can relive from my childhood.

I’ve yet to play Zelda but will eventually get around to it and look forward to it.

Battlefront 2 is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. Just wow. I don't even do the mission sometimes, I just get lost at looking around and everything they designed. I freaking love it.

What games are you all looking to get for the Holiday season this year?

I'm looking to get:

Red Dead 2
AC: Odyssey
Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
DK Country: Tropical Freeze

I'm iffy on Mario Party and Battlefield V only because I don't think I'd play Mario Party as much by myself and my brother is already getting it (who I'd be playing with among friends anyway). Also with Battlefield, I didn't want the last one, got peer pressured into buying it to play with friends and after like 2 months everyone stopped and I felt like I wasted my $. COD Battle Royale mode looks fun but with no campaign, it's a heavy downgrade for me.
