The Playstation Classic is down to $30 this week for Days of Play (if anyone wants to mess around with it as an emulation box).

I'm on vacation with the family and my nephews are all obsessed with Fortnight. This game looks lame.

My 8 year old cousin is obsessed with it too. I’ve watched him play. Meh.

Sort of just biding my time in life until Link’s Awakening comes out on Switch tomorrow. Nothing else matters.

I generally like Reggie Fils-Aime but I don't think he realizes the mess that he's walking into with Gamestop.

Since the start of the quarantine/work from home stuff, I've been on quite the tear with XBOX. Especially with the new system on the way, I really wanted to clear house on my backlog of games. I've beaten the following in the last 4 months:

GTAV
Red Dead Redemption 2
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order
A Way Out
Battlefield V
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
Ryse: Son of Rome
Never Alone
Oxenfree
FOR HONOR
Untitled Goose Game
Anthem
Super Bomberman R
Star Wars: Force Unleashed II
SUPERHOT

Next up is going to be Alan Wake followed by Saints Row IV and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

HIGHLY recommend Oxenfree as well as SUPERHOT if you can get your hands on either. So freaking good. Force Unleashed II and Ryse were hella fun games too.

On the other side of things, what upcoming games are you interested in or looking forward to? Some of mine:

Paper Mario: The Origami King (looks amazing, but i don't think it will be my gaming style preference.)
Tell Me Why (LOVE DontnoD so I am all in here)
Madden (if theres no football this year)
Marvel's Avengers (i mean...duh)
Tony Hawk Pro Skater Remasters (loved them as a teen/if price is good, might as well)
WWE 2K Battlegrounds (on the fence still w this one)
Star Wars: Squadrons (duh)
Watch Dogs: Legion (never played any, I have 1 but not 2)
Assassins Creed Valhalla
Cyberpunk 2077
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (could someone confirm if this is just remastering LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Sage from the 360? Wouldn't want to double play if so.)

LEGO Star Wars the Skywalker Saga is a new game with completely new levels being built for each movie. While the story levels are linear, it's an open world with 20 planets to unlock and explore with side quests and stuff.

Spidey. Bruh. You need a PlayStation so you can play Spider-Man. Believe me, it’s worth it just for that game alone although there’s a shit load of other exclusives I think you’d like based on this list. Uncharted (all of them), God of War, Last of Us I and II.

I said “PlayStation” because a Spider-Man remaster with extra Miles Morales content is going to be a PS5 launch game so it’s not the worst idea to wait for that. If you have like a million dollars extra cash laying around (there’s no price point yet but it won’t be small).

All good! Yeah while I'm finally getting through games, I have a hard time justifying owning both systems. Some gamers dont mind/care but for me it just seems like a waste for the exclusives alone, as much as I want to play Spider-Man, Uncharted and Last of Us. My brother said he'd let me borrow his PS4 when he gets the PS5 but he also likes to do trade ins alot so I dunno if that will hold true.

I'm just thrilled that MLB: The Show is finally coming to XBOX.

Some games to add to the list from August:

Alan Wake - Fun game. Didn't know what to expect but it certainly drew me in. I thought it was going a different way so the ending left me a lil meh but I enjoyed it!

Saints Row IV - So much fun. My first Saints Row game! Piper was awesome and the use of music got me every time. Give me a new one!

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga -Too old for my liking. Decided to bail and just wait for the new one after the first 3 missions.

Night Call - A delight. So freaking good and it drew me in to solve these crimes. The premise is the same for each case but the suspects and clues are different and they all end wonderfully. Highly recommend!

Quantum Break - This was awesome. With TV Show episodes in between of the actors, this one was a long time coming for me to play. Big thumbs up.

Batman: The Telltale Series - Season 1 was really solid. Season 2 got a bit ridiculous with the whole Bruce Wayne undercover as himself with Batman villains. Esp. when you consider the stories are connected from Season 1. If I could've played chapters 1,4 and 5 only, it would've been just as solid as season 1.

Back To The Future: The Game -A brutal play-through. I stopped after Episode 1. As great as the voice cast and story is. The gameplay is atrocious. I'll read up on the rest it just isn't worth the other 6 hours it will take to finish this.

Pretty excited about the big Mario news. Between those two, Tony Hawk, and maybe Avengers there’s a lot of cool stuff out all of a sudden.
